Dayton Rallies for Win

Travieso Was Reds Top Selection in 2012 Draft

In the two drafts prior to this year the Reds used top selections on high school pitchers. Robert Stephenson has been impressive at Dayton this year and is a consensus top 100 MLB prospect. Last year's selection Nick Travieso was considered less polished, but he's had some strong starts at Dayton and is tapping into the potential the Reds saw when they made him the 14th overall pick.

Overall it was not a highly successful day in the Cincinnati development system Saturday. The Reds won at home but other than that Dayton was the only affiliate to get a win as the other minor league squads combined to go 0-8 and score a total of seven runs.
