Lone Star Dugout Video: Jairo Beras BP (3/15)

Beras is playing in games this spring

SURPRISE, Ariz. – Although Jairo Beras is suspended from official game action until July 1, he's able to play in unofficial back-field minor league spring training games. Lone Star Dugout has video of the 18-year-old's batting practice rounds from Friday.

Although Jairo Beras is suspended from official game action until July 1 of this season, he's able to play in unofficial back-field complex games at both minor league spring training and extended spring. In other words, Beras will miss very little 'actual' time, as he'd be likely to join one of the Rangers' two short-season affiliates in late June either way.

The 18-year-old prospect is currently attending his first spring training in Surprise, playing on the back fields of the Rangers' complex. Lone Star Dugout grabbed video of Beras' batting practice rounds on Friday.

For more information on Beras, check out this scouting report and instructs game video, which was posted in January.
