The Washington Nationals continued their pre-deadline signing scramble with the announcement of two more autographs on contracts. Infielder Danny Espinosa and pitcher Graham Hicks signed deals.

Third round pick Danny Espinosa and fourth rounder Graham Hicks signed with the Nationals, giving them just first rounder Aaron Crow as the lone holdout from the team's first ten picks in the 2008 Draft.

The 21 year old Espinosa wrapped up his college career at Long Beach State with a .309 season and comes to the Nationals with big defensive credentials. Serving as the starting shortstop for Team USA in the 2007 Pan Am Games, Espinosa picked up a Silver Medal for his trophy case.

Hicks, 18, pitched at George Jenkins High School in Florida and wrapped up an impressive career that saw him strikeout 155 hitters in 119 innings over his final two seasons. The 6' 5" left-hander was pretty much unhittable in his senior season when he went 8-1 and had a 0.24 ERA to push his high school numbers to 15-2 and drop his career ERA to 0.43 at Jenkins.

The Nationals continue to negotiate with Crow, but haven't reported much progress in the negotiations. The two sides have until midnight Friday night to reach a deal or Crow will go back into next year's draft and the Nationals will receive a compensation pick for not being able to sign him.
