Q&A with John Stearns

John Stearns, manager of the Columbus Clippers, is entering his 33rd season in professional baseball.  Last year, he was the manager for the Double-A team and has now taken over the position at Triple-A.  Stearns gives us some insight on the team's pitching, hitting, and goals for the rest of the season.

CapitolDugout.com: Last year you were the manager for Double-A, now the manager for Triple-A, what is the difference between the two? John Stearns: It is a lot different at this level. The players are much older and have more experience. I think you still have to do a lot of teaching but it's more of a maintenance thing. The guys usually know when they make a mistake and I try to reinforce it...
