Prospect Watch: Erlin never looked comfortable. He pitched out of trouble in the first two innings, but was unable to keep the Bees off the board in the third. Erlin struggled with location and never seemed comfortable on the mound… Nick Vincent made his season debut, despite taking the loss he generated a lot of swings and misses and looked healthy… After hitting a home run in his first at-bat, Jaff Decker has now gone 1-11 with 6 K… Kyle Blanks has played first base in all three games. He committed his first error of the year booting a ball in the eighth.

Prospect Watch: Another big game for a Missions' pitcher. Smith sat 94-96 topping out at 98, and showed good movement with all his pitches. He retired Tulsa in order in four of his six innings, and all baserunners who reached base, did so with two outs… Every batter 1-8 got at least one hit, with 5 hitters having multi-hit games… Reymond Fuentes and Everett Williams continue to show better plate discipline and more power at the plate. Considering how bad they looked last year, it is nice to see them start the season looking like prospects they once were.
Prospect Watch: After starting the season 1-9, C Austin Hedges was giving the night off. Spangenberg slid hard into first base on a bunt single and proceeded to steal second. He later came in on a Gaedele's RBI single. His hard, head first slides, has some people worried already that it is only a matter of time till he is on the disabled list again. His eight stolen bases in the first three games is a new Storm record… Asencio added two doubles as he has hit safely in every game this year.

Fort Wayne Tin Caps 13 – Great Lakes Loons 0
Prospect Watch: Three starts for Tin Caps pitchers 14 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 6 BB, 16 K… It was a cold night in Ohio with the temperature hovering around 30 degrees. Despite that Hancock was bringing the heat and sat mid 90s all game topping out at 97. The left fielder did not even bother moving. The second round pick is now 6-14, 2 2B, 2 HR, 8 RBI, 1.429 OPS for the young season… Leadoff manMallex Smith has now scored six runs in three games.
