The Washington Nationals are all set for Stephen Strasburg's return to the major leagues on Tuesday night.

The right-hander has passed his final test, throwing a pain-free side session on Saturday, and the team is ready to take him off the disabled list a little more than a year after Tommy John surgery.

Now if only the weather would cooperate.

The weather forecast calls for rain all day, and the Nationals could be looking at a delay or postponement in the second game of their series against the Dodgers. If Strasburg warms up in the bullpen, he'll either pitch in the game or be scratched -- the Nationals won't have him sit through a long rain delay after warming up and head back out to pitch.

"If he warms up and it rains, we'll probably have to do it another day," manager Davey Johnson said.

Wilson Ramos will likely catch Strasburg in his first start since Aug. 21, 2010; Johnson said Ivan Rodriguez was lobbying for the assignment, but Johnson will stick with Ramos, his top catcher.

Strasburg, who had Tommy John surgery on Sept. 3, 2010, will likely throw four innings or 60 pitches.
